The village still has very limited communication with the outside world since the occupants shut down the Ukrainian mobile network and internet. They also introduced Russian currency, which means that some Ukrainian bank accounts no longer work.

There is a Ukrainian offensive and fighting north of the village.

Otherwise, it is calm in the village under the circumstances. The villagers have electricity, water and food. However, there is a shortage of medicines and hygiene products.

The village is sometimes called the potato village, as it is known for its good potatoes and many of the villagers live on the income from it. The fresh potatoes have just been finished, but there is no possibility of selling them due to the closure of the border between the occupied territories and Ukraine.
