Ny hjälpsändning på gång

Byn har de senaste dagarna fortsatt att beskjutas, av ryska armén som ligger på andra sidan flodbädden. Många hus är skadade, men inga människor kom till skada.

Det är bara några hundra kvar i byn av normalt 2400. Det är varmt och det stinker från floden, sedan dammen tömdes på vatten.

Vattennivån i byns brunnar har sjunkit. Byn hämtar dricksvatten på flaska och även bröd från kommunstaden.

Nästa hjälpsändning från föreningen går iväg mot Gammalsvenskby i slutet på denna vecka med Sven Bjerlestam och Magga Hellman. Magga skänker sin husbil till byn, vilket kommer bli ett bra tillskott! Bilarna är främst lastade med reparationsmaterial som presenningar och byggplast samt hjälpmedel som rullstolar, rollatorer, kryckor med med mera.

In recent days, the village has continued to be shelled by the Russian army, which is located on the other side of the river bed. Many houses were damaged, but no one was hurt.
There are only a few hundred left in the village out of the normal 2400. It is hot and it stinks from the river, since the dam was emptied of water.
The water level in the village’s wells has dropped. The village gets bottled drinking water and also bread from the municipal town.
The next aid shipment from the association goes to Gammalsvenskby at the end of this week with Sven Bjerlestam and Magga Hellman. Magga donates her mobile home to the village, which will be a good addition! The cars are mainly loaded with repair materials such as tarpaulins and construction plastic as well as aids such as wheelchairs, walkers, crutches and more.
