Läget i Gammalsvenskby är fortsatt svår. Det är svårt att hålla kontakt med nära och kära då elen kommer och går och internet funkar mycket dåligt. När det inte finns el finns det inte heller vatten.
Byborna plockar potatis. Det är fortsatt hård beskjutning och explosioner runt byn. Ryska jaktflygplan flyger mycket lågt.
Det har kommit in fler ryska soldater och stridsfordon senaste dygnet. Ockupationsmakten har också infört utegångsförbud för befolkningen i byn mellan 18.00-06.00.
Våra modiga hjälparbetare har varit och köpt in nödvändiga mediciner till behövande i byn.

The situation in Gammalsvenskby remains difficult. It is difficult to keep in touch with loved ones as the electricity comes and goes and the internet works very poorly. When there is no electricity, there is also no water.
The villagers pick potatoes. There is continued heavy shelling and explosions around the village. Russian fighter jets fly very low.
More Russian soldiers and combat vehicles have arrived in the past 24 hours. The occupying power has also introduced a curfew for the population of the village between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
Our brave aid workers have been buying necessary medicines for the needy in the village.

Tack för alla bidrag som fortsätter komma in. De kommer till stor nytta. En del bybor behöver specialmediciner och tack vare er har polikliniken möjlighet att köpa in dess, trots att de är svåra och dyra att få tag på. Läget i byn är som tidigare. Det har varit svårt att hålla kontakt, då el och internet tidvis är borta. Det vanliga telefonnätet fungerar inte. Det är mycket skottlossning och explosioner som pågår runt byn, ryska flygplan flyger mycket lågt.

Thanks for all the contributions that keep coming in. They will be of great use. Some villagers need special medicines and thanks to you the polyclinic has the opportunity to buy them, even though they are difficult and expensive to get hold of.
The situation in the village is as before. It has been difficult to keep in touch, as electricity and internet are occasionally out. The normal telephone network does not work. There is a lot of shooting and explosions going on around the village, Russian planes fly very low.

Läget i Gammalsvenskby är som tidigare oroligt och spänt. I eftermiddag har det hörts mycket skottlossning. Ockupationsmakten har förstärkt med fler soldater och fordon i byn. Elektriciteten och vattnet kommer och går.

Våra kontakter åkte idag till staden Beryslav och köpte in mycket mediciner till byborna. Medicinerna är nu mycket dyra, men tack vare hjälpen från insamlingen är det möjligt. Byborna är otroligt tacksamma för det.

Det rapporteras i nyheterna att Ryssland planerar en evakuering från Chersons oblast (län) där byn ingår. Detta skulle kunna innebära att den ukrainska befolkningen transporteras till Ryssland, för att ”skyddas”.

The situation in Gammalsvenskby is, as before, uneasy and tense. This afternoon a lot of shooting has been heard. The occupying power has reinforced with more soldiers and vehicles in the village. Electricity and water come and go.

Our contacts went to the town of Beryslav today and bought a lot of medicine for the villagers. The medicines are now very expensive, but thanks to the help from the fundraiser it is possible. The villagers are incredibly grateful for that.
It is reported in the news that Russia is planning an evacuation from Kherson Oblast (county) which includes the village. This could mean that the Ukrainian population is transported to Russia, to be ”protected”.

Läget är stabilt i Gammalsvenskby. Men det har varit mycket beskjutningar och explosioner runt byn senaste dygnet. Ukrainas morgonrapport visar bland annat stora explosioner nära kraftdammen mot Nova Kakhovka, 20 km söder om byn. Det är fortfarande mycket ryska soldater i byn. De har bosatt sig runt om i byn i tomma hus.
Elen och därmed vattnet kommer och går. Det blir då också svårt att hålla kontakt med omvärlden. Det börjar bli ont om mat i affären.

Apoteket i Gammalsvenskby är tömt på medicin sedan läge. Men tack vare de pengar ni bidrar med till föreningens insamling, planerar våra kontakter att åka till närmaste staden Berislav för att köpa in medicin till byborna imorgon.

Utrikesminister Ann Linde ringde idag till föreningen och uttryckte sitt stöd för Gammalsvenskby och förhörde sig om dagens läge. Hon tackade för rapporterna. Hon uttryckte också sin beundran över bybornas mod att hålla ut och att fortsatt visa sitt motstånd mot ockupationsmakten.
